Gibson Unveil Slash’s Appetite Les Paul

The first pictures (below) of Gibson’s new Slash signature model ‘Appetite’ Les Paul have begun to circulate and it looks PURDY. According to Slash , the guitar has been designed with the fans in mind and aims to emulate the sound of the Les Paul he used to record ‘Appetite For Destruction’, as opposed to Slash’s other signature LPs, which… err… were not supposed to do that. The biggest difference seems to be Slash’s signature Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro pickups , which have been wrapped 80s-style. Other smaller features are explained by the man himself in the video below.

How many signature Les Pauls has Slash got now, at least 4 or 5. The original Les Paul that Slash used at the start of Guns N' Roses for the Appetite for Destruction album was actually a copy Les Paul, Slash couldn't afford a real Les Paul in those days and wanted a reissue which Gibson didn't make back them. The Les Paul however was a good copy and gave a unique tone and remains Slashes favourite studio guitar. How ironic that Gibson are now trying to replicate a copy Les Paul. The new Gibson Slash ...

I guess most of you have seen the plenty of posts on Gibsons new Slash model, the Appetite for Destruction Les Paul so I'll keep this one brief! Appetite for Destruction is one of the best selling debut albums of all time, with iconic guitar riffs that even people who aren't big Gunners fans know like Sweet Child O Mine and Welcome To The Jungle. Well, in the video below Slash talks about the latest in his line of signature guitars from Gibson. I personally have the Epiphone version of his Les Paul Goldtop and it's a fantastic guitar. I'm sure this one will be too.
