You have to hand it to Electro-Harmonix not only do they create some of the most inspiring effects pedals on the planet they also produce and encourage fans to produce demos that are absolutely stunning and show you exactly what the sonic capabilities are of each product. Just check out the Riddle Envelope Filter demo above and the Enigma Envelope Filter pedal below (Bass version).
These pedals look like a lot of fun although it is probably more useful in a studio situation where you can fiddle with the knobs on playback.

Top effects pedal makers Electro Harmonix have unveiled a pair of brand new envelope filter pedals for guitar and bass. The Q-Balls Riddle and Enigma pedals are fine tuned to the specific frequency response of each instrument as well as including an analogue distortion circuit. The funky sounding pedals have been designed by EHX collaborator Mike Beigel (the brains behind the MU-Tron III , Q-Tron and Bi-Filter ), and judging by the videos below will continue EHX’s tradition of weird and wonderful sounding pedals!
