Guitar International Magazine
Guitar International hit the Internet September 2009, with a rich array of news and information licensed from Modern Guitars Magazine, LLC, a company established in the Commonwealth of Virginia by Rick Landers as a sole proprietorship over four years ago and structured as a Limited Liability Company in 2009. Guitar International is pleased to continue relationships with our columnists and contributors and looks forward to soon be adding several more professionals, who we will soon announce as new Guitar International associates and advisors. Guitar International currently includes the following Sections: * Features – provides highlighted news and information The gateway to Guitar International will be our “Splash Track” page with music by some great musicians, including ”Bloom” by our first “Splash Track” artist, the phenomenal tone-master himself, Eric Johnson. The tracks will change periodically and we’ll also use our text stream to keep you updated on the highlights at Guitar International. We don’t particularly like entry splash pages after the first viewing, so we decided we wanted ours to entertain and inform…so, there you go. Please LINK to our Splash Track page or our Home Page….C’mon back and give us a listen and a read! Guitar International will share a portion of its revenue with Musequality, a U.K. based charity formed in 2007 by violinist David Juritz. David is the leader of the London Mozart Players and was the lead violinist on the soundtrack of the film The Last King of Scotland. With a successful career and internationally acclaimed, he had an “I must do something more” mid-life crisis moment as he approached his 50th birthday. He decided to fulfill his ambition to busk round the world … for charity. Searching for charities to support, he felt very strongly that none was quite right. As he wanted specifically to help teachers set up music projects for the poorest children in the developing world, he decided to establish Musequality in 2007. We strongly encourage our readers to visit the Musequality website and contribute to this very noteworthy cause. GIGreenSiteGuitar International is hosted by a “green” host server company that is supported by wind power generation out of Texas. We are continuing to seek ways where GI can reduce its carbon footprint and will benchmark for “best in class” websites that promote the use of low impact technologies and environmentally responsible actions.
